Transporting BBQ Gas

BBQ Gas
Extract from AS/NZS 1596: 2014
  • The total quantity of LPG transported in enclosed vehicles should not exceed 33 litres (a 8.5 kg BBQ cylinder is approximately 16.79 Litres)
  • Cylinders stored in the passenger compartment should be secured upright in the rear of the vehicle
  • If stored in a car boot the cylinder should be prevented from rolling over
  • The cylinder/s should not be left unattended, particularly in hot weather
